All teams shall submit, prior to their first scheduled game, a signed “Proof of Playing Level” form either from their association or as provided with the e-mailed Invitation letter to all teams accepted in the Tournament.

Only players whose name appears on the registration form may play. Any affiliated players not already listed may be ineligible to play. BMHA Tournament Committee Members reserve the right to ask for proper player identification.

Each team may carry a roster of up to 19 players including 2 goalies.

Sweaters: Each team must bring home and away sweaters to every game and be dressed 15 minutes prior to game time. When team colours conflict, the home team will be expected to change sweaters.

Dressing rooms must be vacated twenty minutes after the end of each game. Rooms will be inspected and should any damages occur, team officials will be held responsible.

All O.D.M.H.A. rules apply and will be enforced for all players, coaches and parents.

All referee's decisions are final.

Referees are assigned by D9RA. Timekeepers and scorekeepers are designated by the Tournament Organizing Committee.

The B.M.H.A. and its officials, officers and designates accept no responsibility for any loss, damage, accidents or injuries to participants, spectators or their property or belongings.

Each Tournament Game will consist of two ten minute stop time periods and one twelve minute stop time period. A timed two minute warm-up will precede every game. If a goal difference of more than eight is registered at any time, running time will then prevail until such time as the goal differential is below eight or the end of the game. All round robin games will be scored as such, according to the following formula:
- Win a period = 1 point
- Tie a period = .5 point
- Win a game = 2 points
- Tie a game = 1 point

Team Advancement: Teams advancing to the Semi-finals and Finals will be determined as follows:
“C” Tournament: Winning Team of Group A and of Group B plus + Second Place team of Group A and of Group B.
- SF#1: Group A Winning Team plays Group B Second Place Team
- SF#2: Group B Winning Team plays Group A Second Place Team
- Final: Winner of SF#1 plays Winner of SF#2
“A” and “B” Tournaments: Winning Teams of each Division plus one (1) Wildcard* Team.
*A ‘Wildcard’ team is the team with the most points over all the remaining teams after winning teams have all been determined.
- SF#1: Bearbrook Division Winner VS Innes Division Winner
- SF#2: Wildcard Team VS Glenpark Division Winner
- Final: Winner of SF#1 plays Winner of SF#2

TIE-BREAKER: If, at the end of the round robin series, there is a tie in the group/division standings or a tie in the Wild Card standing, the winning team will be determined by:
- Winning team of the game between the 2 teams (head to head) within the same group/division, (applicable for 2-way ties only), or
- The team with the better goal differential (Goals for minus goals against) **, (applicable for 3-way ties or more), or
- The team with the fewest penalties, or
- A coin toss
** When calculating the goal differential, no matter the final score, there will be no more than a 5-goal advantage awarded for a single game.

At no time will a team go below 3 skaters and a goalie. In the event of a penalty during running time overtime periods, minor penalties shall be three minutes in length.

For Semi-Final and Final games, any game ending in a tie will be resolved by:
- One 5:00 minute running time overtime period with 4 on 4 skaters plus goaltenders
- Should no team prevail, a best of five shoot-out, with players shooting at opposite ends simultaneously
- Should no team prevail, another best of five shoot-out will follow
- Should no team prevail, a sudden death shoot-out will follow
All skaters must shoot once before any one skater shoots again.

Protests: Any protest must be registered in writing and submitted to a Tournament Committee member (to be reviewed by the appointed “protest committee” members) accompanied by $50.00 cash, within 20 minutes after the game to which the protest relates. The referee is the sole timekeeper of the game and no protests on the referee’s decision shall be entertained. The fee will be refunded only where a protest is successful in reversing the original decision.

Timeouts: For round robin games, there will be no timeouts permitted. For playoff games, one 30-second time-out per team will be permitted.

Round robin games will end when time expires in the third period or ten minutes prior to the start time for the next game (even hours), whichever comes first. Playoff games will end when time expires in the third period except in the event of a tie (see Rule 14).
